  1. Melt butter in a pot over medium-low heat, add garlic, and stir until fragrant.

  2. Add orzo and toast for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.

  3. Pour in milk, boiling water, salt, and black pepper. Stir continuously to prevent sticking.

  4. Cook for 9–10 minutes, adding more water if needed, until the orzo is soft and creamy.

  5. Mix in mozzarella and your preferred cheese, turn off the heat, and serve warm.
